When I turned thirty, I gave birth to my first child and was fueled by a desire to have my son know who his mother was before he was born. What transpired was a collection of short stories wherein the lessons are tongue-in-cheek attempts to glean something from a memorable experience such as "You're never too old to be afraid of your mother" and "Sand is very unforgiving". Full of sarcasm and light hearted self-deprecation, these stories were meant to be shared.
