Simon knocked on my door one night , as I was one of the three teachers living in the school, I opened the door and there laying on the floor was a crate with seven bottles of Scotch Whisky .I looked at the scotch with piercing eyes and envy, but I knew that Simon had stolen them from somewhere , and then in a sort of candid casual unconcerned way, I asked him ÒHow much he wanted for them?Ó. Ò A bag of fish and chips will do Sir he repliedÓ My brain was hurting as I knew I had to hand the loot to the police . I used to love whisky in those days and the police were very wise dealing with people with mental ill health , I gave Simon enough cash for his fish and chip meal, I then , phoned the police ,my eyes clouding with every word, seven bottles of whisky, and not a drop of drink for Sir. I curbed my treachery , the stab of conscience and call of duty brought me back to reality.
