British female private detective Lesley Shane appeared as a newspaper strip between
1952 and 1954. Lesley Shane also appeared in twenty-four issues of SUPER-DETECTIVE
LIBRARY. Ms. Shane was brilliant, gutsy, experienced with weapons and fabulously
attractive. The artwork is crisply and cleanly rendered by Oliver Passingham and the
scripts were tautly written by Conrad Frost.
Collected here are eight more Lesley Shane adventures from SUPER-DETECTIVE LIBRARY
issues #56, 69, 76, 80, 86, 92, 102, &108. With nearly 600 pages of exciting sleuthing in
glorious black and white, U.K. SUPER-DETECTIVE LIBRARY, LESLEY SHANE GIANT-SIZE
VOLUME TWO is a revelation, showcasing an often overlooked heroine who predates
Modesty Blaise, Emma Peel and Honey West.
