U.K. Thriller Comics was a series of sixty-eight page, digest sized comics, published by the British
company, Amalgamated Press. The series initially contained adaptations of various famous and
exciting characters like Robin Hood; Dick Turpin; Three Musketeers; the Saint, Claude Duval and Rob
Roy before moving to original concepts. Some issues featured historical stories and characters.
These comics may sound stodgy and academic, but I assure you they are not. These are thrilling
adventures full of sword fighting, jousting, intrigue, treasure hunting and even highway robbery. The
black and white artwork in these tales is brilliant and captivating.
