KlizovskiÕs inspiration was to summarize the major doctrines provided by Agni-Yoga or Living Ethics, in a form that could be understood by the average person, and synthesize a system of practical application of these concepts in a personÕs life. His purpose was to unveil lifeÕs origin and lifeÕs purpose, a beneficial morality for people. He describes the start of the universe, and the long-term goal of a personÕs existence. Important is the soon arrival of the New Epoch to replace the old age.
Klizovski speaks of the Astral and Spirit worlds where souls are stored until their next incarnation, and their ascent to the attainment of becoming a god-person. So he composed his trilogy of Understanding the Ideology of the New Epoch, the three volumes published 1934, 1936 and 1938, respectively.
Daniel H. Shubin has translated many books from Russian into English, and written much on Russian history, biography, religion, and philosophy.
