Throughout his life, C. C. Greer wrote poems about the world he lived in with a quiet passion born of pragmatic observation. Although he considered himself an ordinary working man, he parlayed good common sense and hard work to become a successful entrepreneur and businessman. He never gained poetic fame, but if the definition of a poet is a person who writes poetry, then C. C. was a poet.
