Waves of Grain, the 2017 juried and invitational exhibition member exhibition of the American Association of Woodturners, provides an exciting look at the diverse work being created in the woodturning field today.
Presenting the work of 30 talented wood artists, both professional and amateur, the title theme honors both the rich farming history of Missouri, location of the the 2017 AAW International Woodturning Symposium, and the inherent beauty and character of woodÕs grain.
Waves of Grain jurors were Michael Wickerson, Associate Professor and Chair of the Kansas City Art InstituteÕs sculpture program; professional artist and turner Hayley Smith; and collector and turner Mark Wollschlager.
