The papers published in this volume represent the proceedings of the 15th ICOM-CC Working Group on Wet Organic Archaeological Materials Conference held from 30th January to 3rd February at the Leibniz-Zentrum fŸr ArchŠologie (LEIZA) in Mainz. The meeting covered many important issues relating to the excavation, conservation and study of waterlogged materials. The proceedings include 36 independent papers from conservators and conservation scientists from around the world, as well as abstracts of 15 posters presented at the conference.
