ThereÕs a hero in every story.
In your average fantasy tale, that hero is incredibly strong, or talented, or witty. They can level mountains, they can ride on the wind, or they can work deep, powerful magic. They possess fancy items, like a ring that makes you invisible or a weapon made out of laser beams.
However, all our protagonist has is a sword (one that needs to be sharpened, IÕm afraid). HeÕs about as average as they come, and the real power behind the whole operation is his not-so-noble mount, Steed. And then thereÕs his nickname, the Runt, which he earned, really, without trying.
All of this character development sets the stage for an odd story: What happens when this scraggly, underdeveloped fifteen year old boy is sent on the biggest top secret mission heÕs had since the time he fetched his grandmotherÕs knitting needles? One, frankly, that will determine the outcome of the war between Killiah and Nanolynn?
And the biggest question of all: What even is the thing heÕs trying to steal back?
