Finding out that you or your child has scoliosis can be frightening. When my daughter was diagnosed with the spinal disorder I was filled with so many questions and concerns. I became almost desperate to find someone, anyone, that I could talk to who had gone through this same ordeal. Sadly, there was no one and thus began my three-year journey before I was able to come to terms with her condition and, finally, have the courage to take the step to have her undergo spinal fusion surgery.
