Where The Heart Can Sit is a setting of three poems by Elizabeth Spires for soprano, cello, and piano. Each quietly devastating, the three poems pose Òlarge questionsÓ: about meaning, love, and mortality. I am grateful to Ms. Spires for agreeing to let me use her beautiful words.
