English translation of Japanese biography of William R. Gorham (1888-1949), written by his colleagues after his death. Gorham, an American mechanical engineer, designed the early version of the Datsun (Nissan) automobile and helped Japan mass-produce vehicles. He became a naturalized Japanese citizen prior to World War II and is buried in Japan.
