Each year, the Carnegie Center invites young women in grades 9-12 to apply for the project, a free series of intensive workshops dedicated to creative self-expression through writing. At the end of the program (the Young Women Writers Project), the writers have the opportunity to mentor elementary-age girls and to publicly perform their writing, which is shared within this volume.
